When I add a product to your cart, the browser says ww11.aitsafe.com What is aitsafe?
Our shopping cart is a hosted shopping cart called Mal's Ecommerce. aitsafe is the secure server our shopping cart is located on. Our website is scanned by McAfee Secure to ensure that both meet the highest security standards. Depending on your payment method when you are ready check out and make your payment you will be redirected to either Bambora's secure payment form for credit card payment or to Paypal to complete your payment information. When ordering online, we never see your credit card information and your credit card information is not stored on our servers.
How long does it take before my gauge face ships?
All our gauge faces are made to order and therefore require time to produce. Orders are added to our production queue as they are received. There are some instances where production of your order can get delayed due to the complexity of the custom work or sometimes we are not happy with the output so we remake it which can cause the delay. The current production lead time is shown on our shopping cart page at time of ordering.
What is a gauge cluster?
The gauge cluster is the part of your dash that holds the gauges for your speedometer, tachometer, etc. It needs to be removed from the dash to install one of our gauge face.
How do I install one of your custom gauge faces?
Our gauge faces are replacement gauge faces, meaning that they replace the factory gauge face. We do supply installation guidelines with our gauge faces and LED lighting kits, however, you will need to consult a shop manual for removal of your gauge cluster from your dash.
What are your gauge faces made from?
Our gauge faces are machine cut from Lexan and replace the factory gauge face. They are not stickers or overlays. We also do not offer the electroluminescent panel faces. They are proven to be unreliable and can burn out easily.
How do you change the lighting color?
Our gauge faces use the stock lighting as the lighting source so we therefore are able to add a color tint behind the numbers and markings to change the color. There are some instances where the native lighting color is not white or neutral and in that case we would use a neutral color tint so the gauge face will light up like stock. In those cases there will not be a lighting color selection when ordering. We do offer LED lighting upgrades for some of gauge faces and if is available will be listed on the ordering page.
Can I see what my custom gauge face looks like before I buy?
In some cases we can supply you with a layout before you purchase but it usually depends on the amount of customization required to produce the layout. We do our best to be able to show you in advance of ordering but in some cases the design work is quite complicated. In that case we would require a deposit on the order before we begin the many hours of design work it would take.
Why do I have to pay a deposit in order to see my custom layout?
Any layout different from our standard layouts shown on our website may require substantial design work to produce and therefore, before we begin the process we would require a deposit to begin the work. The deposit is then deducted from your order total.
Can I change the font for the numbers and markings on the gauge face?
Yes, we can change the font on most of our gauge faces. Font changes generally will cost about $45-$65 depending on the gauge face and the font requested.
What custom options are available?
The customization possibilities are virtually endless, from custom logos, font changes, custom graphics and colors. If you can conceptualize it, we most likely can do it or at least come really close.
I was told that I need my graphic in vector format. What is vector artwork?
Vector artwork is line artwork and is an adobe illustrator or an eps format. Some photo editing tools allow you to resave a jpg or other bitmp type image as an eps or ai file but this is not the same as vectorizing. If you do not have your logo or graphic in vector format, we may be able to recreate or convert it to vector format but there will be additional artwork/design costs.
What if my car or truck is not shown/listed on your website. Can you still make a gauge face for it?
In most cases, yes we can. For some makes and models that we currently do not offer, and do not have plans to make a regular product, we can make a custom one-off gauge face specifically for you. Please contact us with your request. Be sure to check our website regularly as we are working on adding new faces to our line-up.
How can I check the status of my order?
Drop us an email or give us a call and we can let you know where in the production queue your order is and give you an estimated ship date.
